Book Review – Don’t Stand So Close

by Luana Lewis (Bantam Press) ISBN 978-0-593-07231-8

Stella has not left her house in three years. Not since her last case left her broken. She is happy to let the doorbell ring, but when she sees a teenage girl, freezing on her doorstep she has no choice but to let her in.

The story is told with multiple viewpoints. The narrators are unreliable and manipulative. The moment you believe one character, the next chapter has you doubting them again.

I really enjoyed this book. There are a few disturbing scenes, one is particularly harrowing, but this is a good psychological thriller that will have you reconsidering prescription medication.
